In this session Fergal Coleman (and Phillip Dooley) will discuss the current digital environment in the local government sector. We will explain why Drupal is the ideal digital platform for overcoming the challenges and issues in the sector and delivering real digital change. This talk will utilise current Drupal projects in local government and provide hands-on examples that show how Drupal: • Allows local government to deliver a more seamless experience to stakeholders • Drives internal process efficiencies • Reduces licensing and training costs • Provides staff with a single view of customers through web services integration ( Drupal/ internal systems / social media.) We will also discuss the nuances of managing and driving change in local government, how to bring staff on the digital journey and how to manage local government perceptions of Open Source. With over 30 years of experience delivering strategic consulting services and technology platforms to the local government and corporate sectors, our consultants understand the needs of local government and how they must adopt customer centric digital models.
